George offers folk music workshops on a variety of topics for schools (primary and secondary), colleges, community groups and festivals. Covering anything from a brief introduction to folk music and group singing right up to an in depth exploration of historical and social context, workshops can be tailored to any group.
Highly interactive workshops are a great way to inspire creativity, encourage cohesion within a school or community and to build individual confidence and self-esteem.
George’s workshops tie together subjects from across the whole curriculum including music, literacy, history and numeracy. They are inclusive and are accessible to people of all ages and all experience levels.
George has delivered a number of workshops both on his own and with folk trio Granny’s Attic – most recently including workshops at Claines Primary School Worcester, Bishop Perowne College Worcester and Broadstairs Folk Week.
